"To say Sonia Genovino saved my life, is an understatement. I had issues with my lower back due to a pinched nerve, for years. But it was a trigger point in my upper back that sent me to a physical therapist where I then met Sonia six years ago. I wasn't getting any relief from the physical therapy, so they suggested I see Sonia. Sonia was the one who told me that I may have a pinched nerve, even before it was confirmed by X-rays. "I met Sonia about two years ago at my chiropractor’s office where she practiced acupuncture.

I met her a few months after my husband passed away from a long journey of seven years with cancer.

During that time I was his caregiver and like many caregivers I had not paid much attention to my own health and was in a state of pain both  in my neck and back in addition to experiencing gastric problems. I was exhausted and sad. I saw Sonia weekly for a number of months and began to improve from the very beginning. Her expertise and gentle manner is a wonderful combination for any professional. She uses a variety of modalities to treat the patient’s symptoms and tailors her treatment  to the individual. One of her best strengths is her ability to treat the person, not just the body. I have been a migraine sufferer since I was in my teen years.  I also have cervical stenosis, lumbar disc degeneration, and have been suffering from chronic neck/back pain for the past decade.  I have gone through various types of migraine pills, maintenance, and all sorts of anti-inflammatory medications trying to find the right combinations of drugs that will help ease all my ailments…unfortunately nothing seem to work.  My weekly pain management treatments consists of chiropractic visits, physical therapy and get trigger point therapy but at times the relief doesn’t seem to last long enough either.  I have read a lot about acupuncture and also know quite a number of people that have done acupuncture and was not really convinced enough with the feedback plus I really hate needles!  My trigger point sessions alone can be quite painful from being too inflamed.  I usually get needled from head down to my sciatica, but anything to get a little bit of relief after right?  The thought adding another needle therapy to my routine was out of the question….until I met Sonia!  She was like an Angel sent to me from above.  I was not looking to see one and one day she started working at chiropractic office where I get my weekly therapies and they convinced me to at least try it.  I’m glad I did because Sonia helped me tremendously!  The frequency and the intensity of my migraines lessen, the relief I get through the week is now much longer because of her treatments.  Even at my worse times when I get excruciating pains from a pinched nerve on my neck and the back spasms – she is able to release all those pains and help me sleep longer at night instead of waking up every hour.  All this is because of Sonia’s outstanding knowledge of acupuncture, she is extremely accurate, and exactly knows where and how to treat your pain points.  Sonia truly works hard to find ways and make every effort to help you feel better.  To top off she is very professional, sweet, compassionate, and she sincerely cares for all her patients.  I have nothing to say but great things about her, she is simply the best!  Trust me, for anyone who is seeking relief, Sonia is your person!  You will be glad you did it!  Sonia I can never thank you enough for everything you've done to help me.  You are truly amazing both professionally and as a person!
